Blog #5
This week, during classes, I was able to brainstorm effective emails to send out to professionals in the UI/UX field. I learned about the importance of personalization and concise messaging to grab their attention. Additionally, I included what the ISM program is and what it is about to establish credibility and increase the chances of a positive response. In this case, a positive response would be a face-to-face interview with professionals in the UI/UX field. I also learned about the significance of showcasing my relevant skills and experiences in the email to demonstrate my qualifications for the position. By highlighting my passion for UI/UX and expressing my eagerness to learn from them, I hope to create a strong impression that will encourage them to consider me for an interview opportunity.
Something else that I was able to do during my class time this week was that I was able to look at UI/UX professionals' LinkedIn profiles in order to see whether they had any specific skills or experiences that were highly valued in the industry. This helped me gain insights into the current trends and requirements in the field, allowing me to tailor my email to align with those expectations. Additionally, I also researched the company's recent projects and accomplishments, which enabled me to highlight how my skills can contribute to success.
This week, I was also able to research more about what my original work would be about. My thought process was that I would make a website to teach others about UI/UX. By understanding people's needs, I could create a user-friendly platform that would effectively convey complex concepts in a simplified manner. Furthermore, I explored different website design strategies and technologies to ensure that my project would be visually appealing and technologically advanced. For example, I plan to use responsive design techniques to ensure that the website is accessible and functional on different devices. Additionally, I am considering incorporating interactive elements such as animations and user feedback forms to enhance the overall user experience.
Overall, this week I was able to accomplish a lot in terms of planning and researching for my website project and also reaching out to professionals in my field.
